The Marrese is one of three signature drinks at Cafe Marrese in Tomball and has been on the menu since the eatery opened in February 2015. Other signature drinks include The Cuban and The Breve.

The Marrese, created by owners Allen and Leona Green’s son, is one of the most popular drinks on the cafe’s menu.

The drink includes espresso, cinnamon, steamed milk, honey and fresh rosemary.

“It’s basically for customers [who] like honey and cinnamon,” Manager Angelica Vegas said. “We infuse [the honey] with rosemary, and it brings in a burst of flavors.”

Baristas at Cafe Marrese use the steamed milk to create patterns and designs in the drink, finishing it with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Allen said he was skeptical at first of adding rosemary to a latte—as The Marrese does—but it is now a customer favorite.
