There’s lots to do in the Tomball and Magnolia areas this weekend. Here are a few events residents can take part in:

Fri.-Sun.

Shakespeare in the Shade
The outdoor festival includes several performances of “All’s Well That Ends Well” and food trucks and activities on Saturday and Sunday. 7:30 p.m. (Fri.), 2 and 7:30 p.m. (Sat.), 2 p.m. (Sun.). Free. Burroughs Park, 9738 Hufsmith Road, Tomball. www.shakespeareintheshade.org

Tomball Consolidated Recycling Day
The annual event allows the community to responsibly recycle common household items. Approved items include e-waste, small kitchen appliances, prescription drugs, car batteries and other items. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free. Lone Star College-Tomball, 30555 Hwy. 249, Tomball. 281-351-5484. www.tomballtx.gov

Fish Fry
The Tomball Rotary Club serves catfish at the annual event, which also includes live entertainment and a live and silent auction. 4-8 p.m. $10 (dinner ticket). Tomball Depot, 201 S. Elm St., Tomball. 832-534-0816. https://portal.clubrunner.ca/3956

Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday
This year’s tax-free weekend will run from 12:01 a.m. on April 22 to midnight on April 24. Here is a list of some of the items that are tax-exempt this weekend.
