Over the span of the last five years, the populations in the cities, ZIP codes and school districts across the Tomball and Magnolia area have grown, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2021 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates released Dec. 8.

The Tomball-area ZIP code 77375 saw the biggest increase in population, going from 46,466 people in 2016 to 62,970 people in 2021—a 35.5% increase. Pinehurst ZIP code 77362 followed behind with a 35.1% increase, going from 4,710 people in 2016 to 6,361 people in 2021.

In addition, the city of Magnolia now has 2,303 residents—up from 1,857 in 2016—while the city of Tomball saw an 8.6% population increase—from 11,353 residents to 12,333 residents between 2016 and 2021.

In terms of the median age for the Tomball and Magnolia areas, the population is getting older, with the exception of ZIP code 77355, according to the American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates.

The median age in the cities of Tomball and Magnolia is 37.7 and 36.6 years old, respectively, as of the 2021 estimates, with Tomball-area ZIP codes 77375 and 77377 seeing a median age of 34 and 38.6 years old, respectively.

In the Magnolia-area ZIP codes of 77354, 77355 and 77362, the median age is 38.1, 39.9 and 39, respectively, as of 2021.
