During the Nov. 22 Tomball City Council meeting, the Tomball Economic Development Corporation presented two economic incentive packages for companies looking to relocate into the city. Premium Interests LLC will relocate from 21912 Mueschke Road, Tomball, to inside the city limits at 22502 Park Road, Tomball, north of Americas Best Value Inn & Suites. The 1.997-acre tract will be home to a new 11,920-square-foot facility where the company will design and manufacture custom valves and handling tools. TEDC Executive Director Kelly Violette said the company will bring six existing full-time employees to the city and add an additional four employment positions. With an approved $19,150 incentive package, the TEDC projects a net benefit of more than $63,000 to the city. A construction start date for the new facility has not been announced. On the west side of Tomball, Brandt Construction LLC will relocate from 9337 Spring Cypress Road, Ste. G, Spring, to a 3,042-square-foot warehouse facility at 22110 Hufsmith-Korhville Road, Tomball. The company specializes in site development, concrete paving, storm drainage and site utilities. Violette said the company has 14 employees and expects to add three additional positions within two years as part of the incentive agreement. "The new office building will be the company's headquarters and the total capital investment for the project is estimated at $2.1 million," Violette said. The $65,694 incentive package is expected to yield a $218,981 net benefit for the city over the next five years. A second and final reading to approve the package will come up for a vote at the next Tomball City Council meeting Dec. 5.
