What you need to know
The church will have a special worship service at 10:30 a.m. on March 2 led by Bishop Scott J. Jones of the Global Methodist Church to celebrate the milestone anniversary, according to the news release. A potluck dinner will be held starting at 4 p.m. that evening.
The background
Rose Hill Methodist received a Texas Historical Marker for its “significant role in the development of the community and in the preservation of the area’s cultural heritage," according to the release, and the original church building also received a Texas Historical Marker for its historical structure built in 1888.
