Magnolia’s Lone Star Animal Hospital, located at 5740 FM 1488, Magnolia, is expanding to add over 3,000 square feet to its current building, owner and veterinarian Kathy Martin confirmed via email.
“[The expansion will] accommodate new larger single- and multipet family boarding runs with live camera feeds for family check-ins, a new grooming area, and redesigning our current building for more exam rooms, offices, lab space and much-needed additional parking,” Martin said.
The business aims to complete the expansion by October, Martin said.
“We have outgrown our current facility over the last 15 years and want to be able to provide more services to our clients and increase the efficiency of our daily clinic workflow,” Martin said.
Martin also said the expansion will allow for more appointment availability and increase the number of patients Lone Star Animal Hospital can see on a daily basis.
“The increased boarding space will keep our boarding pets more comfortable in larger runs with comfy beds and camera feeds so they can be checked on regularly by their family,” Martin said.
Lone Star Animal Hospital’s services include preventative care, vaccinations, disease treatment, diagnostic testing and surgical care, Martin said. The business also features a pharmacy, a surgical suite, X-ray services, in-house lab work, cold laser therapy, cryotherapy, grooming services and boarding.
“Creating excellent relationships with our clients and their pets is very important to us,” Martin said. “We treat them like our own family members.”
