Land purchase gives Tomball Economic Development Corp. new opportunities

The Tomball Economic Development Corp. purchased 6.2 acres of land in South Live Oak Industrial Park, according to an April 15 news release.

According to the release, the purchase includes two industrial warehouses totaling 41,076 square feet with one of the warehouses
in need of a tenant. TEDC Executive Director Kelly Violette said it will begin searching for a suitable tenant.

“We are excited to add this investment to our portfolio," Violette said in a statement. "With its advantageous location just off Main Street, we will utilize the property in a way that will attract companies to Tomball."

Plans for the purchase also include creating a mixed-use development on vacant property near the warehouses, the release states.

“The warehouses also allow the TEDC to promote an expanded industrial inventory, which we find to be in high demand,” Violette said.
