Recuerdos Tex-Mex first opened in 2015 in downtown Round Rock, but new owners Johnny and Stephanie Ontiveros took over the restaurant in June 2020, two months into the beginning stages of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Cicis Pizza to hold grand reopening for west Plano location


The restaurant was closed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is reopening under corporate ownership. In honor of the location's reopening, the business plans to give the first 100 guests at the celebration free pizza for a year, according to a news release.
