HBO film crews began shooting a new TV series in Hutto last week.

"Love and Death" starring Elizabeth Olsen is a crime drama based on true events that took place in Wylie, Texas.

The first round of filming ran from Sept. 27 to Oct. 1 and took place at the historic Hutto Lutheran Church, the residence next to the church and the nearby Fritz Park, which was closed for the duration of the filming.

HBO will return to Hutto for more filming in the coming months, but the city does not yet have details on the exact times and locations of future production.

"Love and Death" is the 20th production to be filmed in Hutto, which is certified as a Film Friendly Community by the Texas Film Commission.
