After being closed to the public for the 2020 season, the Houston Repertoire Ballet is returning to Tomball for its 22nd annual performance of "The Nutcracker," the nonprofit organization announced in an Oct. 25 release. Five performances will be held Dec. 3-5 at Tomball High School, located at 3033 Quinn Road, Tomball.

The performance includes a cast of more than 100 dancers and children from the area as well as professional guest artists Leah Slavens Haggard, Matthew Rusk and Joseph Modlin.

The Houston Repertoire Ballet, Houston's preprofessional ballet company, is celebrating its 25th season, according to the release.

The ballet company also presents three arts and education school performances for all Tomball ISD third-grade students, an audience of more than 1,500.

A live orchestra will not be included for the 2021 performances due to health restrictions; therefore, ticket prices are lower this season, according to the release.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 3-4, at 2 p.m. Dec. 4, and at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 5. Ticket prices are $23 for adults and $18 for students and seniors.

The ballet company can be reached at 281-940-4721 or www.hrbdance.org to purchase tickets.
