The Texas Renaissance Festival, Magnolia ISD Board of Trustees and Tomball City Council will convene in open forums this week. 1. The Texas Renaissance Festival and the producers of Middlelands, an outdoor music festival held in Todd Mission earlier this month, will host a town hall event at Magnolia City Hall, which is located at 18111 Buddy Riley Boulevard, Magnolia, at 6 p.m. on May 18. According to a joint statement from festival organizers, the town hall seeks to increase community involvement in planning festivals. Community members are invited to share concerns about the Middlelands Festival. 2. The Magnolia ISD Board of Trustees will consider increased meal prices for students and adults during a regular meeting Monday, May 15. The board will also receive an update on construction projects in the district, including the design of the MISD Conference Center. Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Celeste Graves Education Support Center, located at 31141 Nichols Sawmill Road, Magnolia. 3. Tomball City Council will canvass the May 6 election results and swear in John Ford to succeed council member Field Hudgens' during a meeting tonight, May 15. The council will also appoint a mayor pro tem, who presides over council meetings when the mayor is unavailable. Tonight's meeting begins at 6 p.m. in City Hall, located at 401 Market St., Tomball.
