The free event runs from 3 p.m.-2 a.m. and features a live auction and live entertainment with a red carpet arrival. Combat boots worn by members of the military will be up for bid. Each pair of boots is accompanied by the story of the individuals who wore them. “All of these combat boots have been around the world, done various jobs, tough tasks and seen a thing or two, so we’re putting those up for live auction with a really cool story with them,” said Lindsey Rogers, director of operations at Boots for Troops. “For the highest bidder, we’re putting [the boots] in a shadow box with a framed story and picture of [the] service member [who wore the boots]. It’s something for the community to come out and experience something different.” Live entertainment includes Jeff Canada and The Boys, a magician, a stilt walker, and more.
