With winter weather predicted to arrive overnight, The Woodlands Township announced several closures for Jan. 21 in addition to those already announced for the region for local school districts and other facilities.

Waste Management announced there will be no trash collection in The Woodlands on Jan. 21. As of the evening of Jan. 20, a notice on the township website said residents should not place trash containers curbside until Wednesday, but additional updates will be posted if further delays are announced.

According to information from the township, if residents experience burst pipes due to freezing they should contact a plumber, but they can contact their water provider if assistance is needed:Several warming centers are open in the region including in Montgomery County.
