The additional lane will become the right-turn lane onto Lake Woodlands Drive.

Ongoing projects

Robinson Road realignment

Project: The project will align Robinson Road across Hanna Road. The project will include realigning a portion of the Union Pacific Railroad, which is crossed by Robinson Road.

Update: At a Sept. 23 meeting of Oak Ridge North City Council, an agreement with UPRR was reached to close the existing railroad crossing at the intersection of Robinson Road and Hanna Road as part of the project. It will take one to three months to deconstruct and rebuild the railroad crossing, officials said. Community Impact reported the contract states the relocation of the railroad crossing will cost $2 million, but the city will only be responsible for paying $134,000 for the agreement and a yearly maintenance fee of $19,478 due to the cost of rewiring and operating the new crossing. A start time for this phase of the project was not established.
