The 13th annual The Woodlands Marathon, The Woodlands Half Marathon and The Woodlands 10K will take place March 2, and traffic patterns in the area will be affected from 6:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

What you need to know

According to a news release from The Woodlands Marathon, eastbound Lake Woodlands Drive will be closed from 6:30 a.m.-11 a.m. from Kuykendahl Road to Grogan's Mill Road on March 2. Westbound Lake Woodlands will use a contraflow pattern, with vehicles traveling both east and west from Lake Front Circle to Cochran's Crossing on the westbound side, according to the release.

The following other roads will be affected by closures during the race:
  • Lake Robbins Drive: eastbound/westbound lanes
  • Grogans Mill Road: southbound/northbound lanes
  • Research Forest Drive: eastbound lanes
  • Kuykendahl Road: northbound lanes
  • Timberloch Place: westbound lane
  • Lake Woodlands Drive: eastbound lanes
  • Woodlands Parkway: westbound lanes, outside lane only; inside lanes will be open
  • East Panther Creek Drive: northbound lane
  • West Panther Creek Drive: northbound lane
