Starting June 5, Hanna Road will be closed to thru traffic between Spring Pines Drive and Oakridge Forest Lane in both directions for bridge repairs, according to Montgomery County Precinct 3.

In a news release, officials said the closure will last about three weeks as bridge repairs and pavement replacement takes place.

Andrew DuBois, director of operations for Precinct 3, said the project will involve a full replacement of the asphalt pavement with concrete.

Southbound traffic on Hanna Road will follow a detour onto Spring Pines Drive, while northbound traffic will be detoured at Oakridge Forest Lane, according to the release. Drivers heading north and south between Rayford and Robinson roads should plan alternate routes, according to the release.

Local residential traffic as well as garbage, mail and other services will be able to access the following cul de sacs: West Clady Drive, East Clady Court, Pateway Court, Marksey Court, Darone Court, Dunwell Court, Loone Court and Brickstone Court off southbound Hanna Road.

Officials said the repairs are taking place in June because schools are closed during summer break, and it will have minimal traffic impact.
