Contractors will continue tree and shrubbery clearing along Robinson Road on Oct. 1 in advance of beginning a realignment and widening project. The city of Oak Ridge North has encouraged drivers to be aware of lane closures and shifts occurring between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. The city will post updates throughout the day on its website alerting drivers of closures that will affect traffic.

Director of Public Works James Corn said the clearing project is around 75% done. Corn said he believes the clearing will be wrapped up in two weekends, and the city will be able to move onto the next part of the Robinson Road realignment and widening project.
