The widening of FM 2978 from FM 1488 to approximately Hardin Store Road was 97% complete as of the Texas Department of Transportation’s report available on Feb. 7. The TxDOT project will widen the stretch of FM 2978 from two lanes to four. Originally scheduled for completion in 2021, the project was still underway in early 2022.
A resident of the Houston area since 2011, Vanessa began working in community journalism in her home state of New Jersey after receiving an English degree from Drew University.
