The project to widen Woodlands Parkway from six to eight lanes from west of I-45 to a half-mile west of the Grogan’s Mill Road overpass is nearly complete, Montgomery County Precinct 3 officials said last week.
The project adds one lane in each direction with right turn and acceleration lanes at major intersections. As of June 20, crews were working on final pavement parkings, striping and signage. They were also finishing the retention pond in the median and repairing old concrete pavement in the inside lanes at several locations, officials said.
The project would be completed soon, weather permitting, officials said.
