Interfaith of The Woodlands, a nonprofit focused on providing resources to underserved individuals in the community, will hold a communitywide day of giving on Oct. 15 to commemorate 50 years in The Woodlands and bring awareness to the needs in the community.

According to a Sept. 17 news release, Interfaith is aiming to collect 50,000 pounds of food donations from Oct. 15 through Dec. 31 to support the needs of the community.

On Oct. 15, residents can donate nonperishable goods at 4242 Interfaith Way, The Woodlands, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Residents will also be able to watch a variety of performances from local groups such as the Interfaith Child Development Center children's choir.

Interfaith is also seeking volunteers to help with the Day of Giving campaign for a number of initiatives including its:Individuals interested in volunteering can apply online through Interfaith's volunteer portal.
