A Sept. 13 news release announced the formation of Reading Is Revolutionary, a new nonprofit organization founded by Village Books’ owner Teresa Kenney in The Woodlands in June.

The details

Reading Is Revolutionary was created to expand the reach and impact of literary arts and serve as a community resource for storytelling through festivals, workshops, events and community book drives, according to the news release.

Per the release, the organization has raised nearly $3,000 to offer books for foster children for Carrying Hope Houston and children in food-insecure homes, for the Kids’ Meals Montgomery County expansion route.
