The Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas North American Championship returns to The Woodlands nin April.

The Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas North American Championship will return to The Woodlands April 28, meaning several roads in The Woodlands and Spring areas will be closed throughout the weekend.

Athletes from around the world will compete at this annual triathlon, which begins with a 2.4-mile swim in Lake Woodlands, followed by a 112-mile bike course and concludes with a 26.2-mile run.

The following map includes the intersections and roads that will be impacted or closed due to the event, according to Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack:



The following are detours and preferred methods of travel also recommended by Noack:

Grogans Mill Road southbound from North Millbend Drive | 7-9:30 a.m.
Take Grogans Mill Road to South Millbend Drive, South Millbend Drive to Glen Loch Drive, Glen Loch Drive to South Panther Creek Drive, South Panther Creek Drive to Flintridge Drive, Flintridge Drive to Gosling Road.

Grogans Mill Road southbound | 7-9:30 a.m.
Take Lake Woodlands Drive to Six Pines Drive; Six Pines Drive to Mill Bend Road; Mill Bend Road to Fernridge Drive; Fernridge Drive to South Millbend Drive; and South Millbend Drive to Grogan's Mill Road.

Grogan's Mill Road northbound | 11 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
Take Woodlands Parkway to Six Pines Drive; Six Pines Drive to Lake Woodlands Drive; and Lake Woodlands Drive to Grogans Mill Road.

Lake Robbins Drive westbound
Unrestricted until Six Pines Drive; follow directions for Grogans Mill Road north or southbound.

Best locations to enter Market Street
Along Lake Woodlands Drive, Six Pines Drive and Grogans Mill Road.
