The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office will hold a grand opening Oct. 4 for its new District 2 facility at 25046 Abbey Lane in Spring, according to a news release. The new office will house patrol and detective personnel, according to the release. The project also includes a vehicle maintenance facility for fleet vehicles to enable them to return to service more quickly. The release stated the new facilities are a collaborative effort between the sheriff's office and the Montgomery County Commissioners Court.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to take a tour and hear from officials. Those in attendance will include Sheriff Rand Henderson, Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack and County Judge Mark Keough. www.mctxsheriff.org
