The Nebraska-based coffeehouse chain Scooter's Coffee launched its first Greater Houston-area location March 29 in The Woodlands.

Located in the Creekside Park West development at 26551 Kuykendahl Road, The Woodlands, the free-standing drive-thru site offers hot and cold coffees and teas, including the signature Caramelicious and seasonal drinks.

The coffee shop joins other recently opened tenants such as Baja Sur Fresh-Mex and Tequila Bar and Press Waffle Co. at the Creekside Park West shopping plaza. Since its founding in 1998, Scooter's has expanded to open more than 280 drive-thru locations in 17 states, according to developer The Howard Hughes Corp. www.scooterscoffee.com
