3. A new location of the national cooking education franchise Young Chefs Academy is expected to launch in April at 2520 Research Forest Drive, Ste. 475, The Woodlands. Under franchise owners Elizabeth and Chris McKelvey, the children's culinary center will host hands-on cooking programming for students of all ages.

"We're thrilled about being able to help children appreciate cooking and provide them with an interactive, hands-on opportunity to learn various ways to prepare meals," Elizabeth McKelvey said in a statement. "The cooking classes allow children to exercise their creativity and satisfy their natural curiosity about the foods we eat and how to prepare them."
