A 40,000-square-foot Dave & Buster's is preparing to open Jan. 20 in Shenandoah's Metropark Square, located at 8915 Metropark Drive, bringing more than 200 jobs to the area.

The new location will be the fourth in the Houston area for the restaurant and entertainment franchise and act as one of the anchors for Metropark Square. Shenandoah Mayor Ritch Wheeler said the business coming to the community is an exciting prospect.

"We know that many of those jobs will be filled by people from our community," Wheeler said. "Having a company like this contribute to our economy is a huge benefit."
