Two unique fitness facilities have opened their doors in The Woodlands this past month and another facility is set to open this October.
Wicked Core, an upcoming fitness studio set to open in October at 3555 Rayford Road, Ste. 15, Spring, will offer customers a low-impact, high-intensity workout based on the Lagree Fitness Method.
Owner Deborah Miner said participants use a machine called a megaformer, which works the slow twitch muscles in the body.
“It’s like Pilates on steroids,” Miner said. “Your legs will be actually shaking when you’re done. It’s a 45-minute class with 12 machines.”
Public and private classes will be offered in the morning, afternoon and evening.
Other fitness facilities already open in The Woodlands area include Frog Fitness, at 2408 Timberloch Place, Ste. C6, and Yellow Jacket Fitness, at 6922 West Rayford Road, Ste. 200.
Frog Fitness offers high intensity interval training and a strength-training piece of equipment called The Frog. The equipment features two pairs of Ab Wheels connected to resistance bands, meant to give users a full-body workout.
Yellow Jacket Fitness offers group fitness classes and personal training, including strength classes, boot camp-style workouts, yoga and dance.
