Hospital officials said they plan to open five new operating rooms, implement high-dose radiation treatment, add a third da Vinci operating robot and expand its neuroscience team by adding a radiologist and neurologist in 2019.

Officials with Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands said an expansion to add 14 inpatient beds to meet demand is underway and will be complete in early 2019. The hospital has also begun offering spinal surgery procedures.

Officials said they are investing more than $50 million on projects in 2019 including adding an ICU telemedicine program and operating room and bed additions to the family birthing center.

Officials with CHI St. Luke’s Health The Woodlands Hospital said The Dan L. Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center, a research-based cancer treatment center, will open in 2019. The hospital's cardiovascular expansion will also be complete in the Summer of 2019 and new Cath Labs will be equipped with the latest technology available, allowing for state-of-the art minimally invasive procedures.
