The Woodlands Township board of directors accepted a new neighborhood park into the township's maintenance system March 26.

The details

Located within The Enclave at The Woodlands, a Tri Pointe Homes and Toll Southwest residential development in Creekside Park, the new park will now have the designation of being a neighborhood park. According to township documents, Enclave Park is 1.13 acres and will cost the township $38,500 to maintain and operate annually.

The park will also come with:
  • Installed playground equipment
  • Shade structures
  • Water fountains
  • Picnic tables
What else?

According to township staff, residents have expressed concern throughout the development of the park and surrounding homes that silt was allowed to build up in Lake Voyager, which backs up to Enclave Park. Under the agreement between the township and the developers, Tri Pointe Homes and Toll Southwest will pay the township $300,000 for silt removal operations within the lake upon conveyance of the park.
