Three warming centers have been opened in the Conroe area for residents as freezing temperatures moved through Montgomery County on Feb. 19.

According to the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the three centers opened in Conroe are:While the centers are open to the public 24 hours a day, officials noted The Salvation Army will require a form of personal identification for facility use. County officials said the centers will be open as long as residents require the facilities.

What's happening?

The warming centers were opened as freezing temperatures moved through the Greater Houston area as part of an Arctic blast according to the National Weather Service. Montgomery County will be under an extreme cold weather warning until noon on Feb. 20 and under a cold weather advisory through Feb. 21.
