The positions are for seats on boards such as The Woodlands Design Review Committees and Village Associations. Filing began 8:30 a.m. Dec. 28 and will end 5 p.m. Jan. 18, according to a news release from The Woodlands Township.
What you need to know
Candidates interested in the nonpartisan seats can apply obtain filing forms from village association presidents, from the town hall at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands, or at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov.
Candidates must be:
- Residents and property owners in The Woodlands
- Age 18 and over
The Residential Design Review Committees are five-member resident-elected committees that serve one-year terms. Members will spend several hours each month reviewing applications for property improvement to maintain design standards.
Up to five RDRC members are elected for each village, with two committees present in Indian Springs.
Village Associations are civic associations for the individual villages in The Woodlands. The following positions are open in 2024:

- 9 at-large area representatives (two-year term)
- 18 at-large area representatives (one-year term)
- Vice president (two-year term)
- Treasurer (two-year term)
- 9 at-large area representatives (one-year term)

- Events co-chair (two-year term)
- 10 at-large area representatives (one-year term)
- 8 at-large area representatives (two-year term)

- 9 at-large area representatives (two-year term)
- 7 at-large village directors (two-year term)
Voting takes place at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., with early voting from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 12-16, and from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Feb. 17.
