The Montgomery County Commissioners Court will be entering a week of budget workshops immediately following a full agenda at its regular meeting Aug. 8.

The details

Budget workshops will be preceded by a regular meeting of Commissioners Court, when the county will go over a number of issues in preparation for the budget discussion.

Tax Assessor-Collector Tammy McRae informed the court at the Aug. 1 meeting of a $2.3 billion taxable value loss in Montgomery County, and while the loss will only cause a minor budget shortfall in property tax revenue, the effects for FY 2024-25 will be more prominent.
