The Woodlands Board of Directors will consider amending a professional services contract for a pedestrian pathway connector at Harper's Landing during a May 19 meeting.

According to the board's agenda, a task order at the cost of $36,750 will facilitate "the initial coordination of the project with Montgomery County, Texas Department of Transportation and the railroad; a final schematic package; and environmental analysis."

The pathway project is reported to cost around $377,375, and is recommended to begin construction in 2025.

The Harper's Landing connector is part of a plan approved in 2015 to develop a pedestrian and bicycle master plan.

The board of directors also has agenda items to act upon an update to Falconwing Park to add artificial turf and act upon a letter of support for the San Jacinto River Authority and Woodlands Water Agency to seek federal appropriations for Bear Branch Dam improvements.
