Additional dates for The Woodlands Township's shuttle service to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will allow riders to visit the rodeo's Bar-B-Que Contest on Feb. 24-26. The carnival will also be active during those dates, according to township materials. The fares for the trips will be set at $13, the same price as other Woodlands Express shuttle services, according to the township. The cost to the township for the additional dates will be $17,618, township officials said at a Jan. 20 meeting. According to the agenda materials, costs not recovered through fares can be covered through Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act and American Rescue Plan Act funds.
The Woodlands Express Park and Ride services will be available for rodeo dates on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays.
With the additional dates, the rodeo shuttle will operate Feb. 24-26, March 4-6, March 11-13 and March 18-20. The shuttle operates from the Sawdust Park and Ride at 701 Westridge Road, The Woodlands.
Tickets for the new dates will be available Feb. 1, officials said at the Jan. 20 meeting.
