John Escoto was sworn in to his seat for Position 3 on Shenandoah City Council during a May 26 meeting.

Escoto fills the seat of Dean Gristy, who served on the council for two years.

Escoto was elected to City Council following the May 1 election.

"I’m elated," he said election night. "I'll do whatever it takes to benefit Shenandoah and its residents."
