According to a news release, the half-day event, which focuses on the LMC value "Lifetime Learning: There's Always Room to Grow," includes the following speakers:
- De’ Reese Reid-Hart, president of Lone Star College-Montgomery
- BernardBanks, director of the Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University
- Sandy Frieden, retired adjunct assistant professor from the University of Houston
- Cassandra LeClair, clinical associate professor for professional and executive MBA programs at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School
- Matt Fuller, professor of educational leadership and director of the Center for Assessment, Research, and Educational Safety, Sam Houston State University
The event concludes with a special awards luncheon featuring Sen. Brandon Creighton, who represents Texas Senate District 4. He will be honored as an LMC honorary alumnus, a recognition that has only been awarded by LMC six times in its 38 years of existence, according to a news release. Previous recipients include Steve Sanders, Don Stockton, Kevin Brady, Ann Snyder, Wally Wilkerson and Frankie Alexander, according to the release.
Creighton was recently named sole finalist as chancellor of the Texas Tech University System.
