There are several events taking place through March 21 in The Woodlands including races and an art sale. This list is not comprehensive.

The Woodlands 5K

The Woodlands Marathon will host The Woodlands 5K Run before the full marathon event takes place in March. Individuals are invited to run or walk the 5K course that will traverse the streets of Town Center and return to the finish line. The event will finish on The Woodlands Waterway in front of cheering spectators.Touch a Truck

This event will feature an array of big trucks, off-road and first responder vehicles and is designed for all ages.Family Pickleball Night

All nets will be available for family pickleball drop-in night. There will be limited paddles and balls to borrow.

Children can attend a book reading featuring a Dr. Seuss book that follows a brother and sister into a pet store as they try to make up their minds as to what pet to choose.The Woodlands Marathon

Participants have the opportunity to run for charities in the Charity Challenge while friends, family and spectators line the streets at various cheer zones to encourage athletes along the way. Attendees can shop around for home goods, seasonal decor, artisan furniture and products for any type of home improvement or DIY home project.

The outdoor art sale will feature local vendors selling original artwork, live music, children's activities, food trucks and a crawfish cookoff.18 Annual Creekwood Fishing Derby

Participate in the annual Fishing Derby featuring prizes for the longest and heaviest fish caught. T-shirts will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.Art in The Woods


Ardest Gallery holds a monthly art market with works by local artists. During the March market the gallery will also hold a special event in conjunction with National Children's Craft Day. Throughout the day, the gallery will have drop-in "make and take" art/craft opportunities, activities provided by The Woodlands Arts Council and The Children's Museum, and artist demos.

Puzzle Palooza

Teams work together to complete a 500-piece puzzle. Teams are limited to four individuals.Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale

The annual Friends of the Library Book Sale will feature fiction, non-fiction, cookbooks, games, DVDs and coffee-table books at the Community Center and fiction and non-fiction for children at the South Regional Library Meeting Room. There will be a $2 bag sale March 22 from 12:30-3 p.m
