Sponsored by Visit The Woodlands, Taste of the Town is an event for foodies to sample local cuisine. Guests can sample appetizers, entrees, desserts, pastries and drinks from over 40 of the area's restaurants, caterers, bakeries and beverage companies.

Author visit

The Woodlands Children's Museum is holding an author visit event with Sharlene Novak, who will be reading from her book “Happy Tails Camper Stories: Lucy Learns to Share.” After the reading there will be a meet and greet with the author who will be selling her books.Mother-son date night

48th Arbor Day tree giveaway


The Woodlands Township is holding its 48th Arbor Day tree giveaway, an event founded in 1977 to help plant trees in the community. This year there will be 12 new native tree seedlings available. Each of these native seedlings benefit local wildlife.Woodlands Tai Chi

Woodlands Tai Chi is offering free beginner tai chi classes. The beginner classes will be taking place during a 12-week session. Those interested in participating must register by Jan. 21.The 10th Annual Women Empowering Women

Interfaith Community Clinic is holding a luncheon and shopping experience presented by Waste Connection. The first day will feature an awards luncheon and VIP Philanthropy Market. The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a candidate debate and forum. The races for Montgomery County sheriff and Precinct 3 commissioner as well as state representative for District 15 will be covered during the forum. This event is open to the public; however, registration is required.

Muddy Trails 5K

This family-friendly event will feature a chip-timed 5K course through the George Mitchell Nature Preserve, situated on 1,800 wooded acres adjacent to Rob Fleming Park. It also includes a festive post-race party including live zydeco music, the Muddy Bowl Crawfish Cook-Off and children’s activities.
