Texas Tree Ventures is hosting a nighttime climbing event in a three-hour experience. Lights illuminate the course from below, offering a new perspective. The event includes leaders in The Woodlands dancing to support the YMCA, and it includes a buffet dinner, a cash bar, and live and silent auctions, according to the YMCA. The Woodlands Township is holding an annual bird-watching competition known as The Great Texas Birding Classic. This competition will determine which team can identify and count the most birds during a specific window of time. Residents participating should bring their own lawn chairs and binoculars. Daredevils can climb and rappel down the 31-story The Woodlands Tower at The Waterway. This event will help raise funds for Camp For All, a barrier-free camp for campers with disabilities.

April 30: Visit the Tamina community

The Tamina Day Celebration will include stories of the community's history and ancestors as well as a performance by the Oak Ridge High School band with a dedication of the song “Tamina.” The author of the book “The Ground on Which I Stand” will bring a photo exhibit and autograph the book. The day will also include trivia games, a barbecue food truck and other activities.April 30: Learn about CPR at fair
