August brought a variety of galas and other events to The Woodlands area.

The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Chairman's Ball on Aug. 20 with the theme "A Night in Emerald City." The event honored outgoing Chair Julie Ambler, head of school at The Woodlands Christian Academy.
Another event, an inaugural black-tie fashion event, Walk The Woodlands, was held Aug. 19 to benefit Interfaith of The Woodlands and Interfaith Community Clinic. More than 500 guests participated, according to a news release from Interfaith of The Woodlands.
