The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a candidate forum for the open position on The Woodlands Township's board of directors, Position 6, on Oct. 9.

The forum will take place at the chamber office, 9320 Lakeside Blvd., Ste. 200, The Woodlands, from 4-5:30 p.m. and is being held in partnership with Community Impact and Woodlands Online, according to information from the chamber of commerce.

About the candidates

The four candidates for Position 6 are:
  • Adam Lamb
  • Allan Bounds
  • Philip Ikharebhore
  • Maria Holmes
Position 6 is the only contested race in the Nov. 4 election.

Positions 5 and 7, which also have terms ending this year, are currently occupied by incumbents Shelley Sekula-Gibbs and Cindy Heiser, respectively, who are seeking reelection. Ann Snyder is not seeking reelection to Position 6.

Early voting begins Oct. 20, and Election Day is Nov. 4.
