Unofficial results from the first round of ballots posted by Harris County show Amanda Bass, Jennifer Kratky and Coco White leading in the race for their respective positions on the Tomball ISD board of trustees.
What you need to know
Six candidates are vying for three positions: Position 5, Position 6 and Position 7.
According to unofficial early voting results:
- Bass leads Joseph Ferguson for Position 5 with 23,759 votes.
- Kratky leads Justin Unser for Position 6 with 17,968 votes.
- White leads John Payne for Position 7 with 17,371 votes.
Meet the candidates
White and Payne are running for Position 7 of the Tomball ISD board of trustees:
- White said his priority is to ensure the district provides a safe, supportive environment for every student while maintaining high standards of education.
- Payne said his priorities would be to ensure safety, educational excellence, learning foundations for success and fiscal responsibility.
- Unser said his priority is student achievement through safe schools.
- Kratky said her priority is ensuring that parent and teacher input is at the forefront in all school board decision-making.
- Bass said her priority is to drive continuous improvement in student success and readiness for college, career and military paths.
- Ferguson said his priority is student safety and high academic standards.
