Voters in The Woodlands area may see local races on the ballot May 4, including a mayoral race and many municipal utility district elections.

What you need to know

The city of Oak Ridge North will see a contested mayoral race, and several municipal utility districts in The Woodlands area are also holding elections this year. Harris County Emergency Services Department 11, which serves areas including Creekside Park in The Woodlands, also has three at-large positions up for election on its board of commissioners.

May elections are nonpartisan, unlike the primary elections held March 5. A separate election May 28 will be held for runoffs from the primary elections.

The Montgomery County elections website will include polling locations. Voters in Harris County can refer to www.harrisvotes.com.
