Ritch Wheeler received a majority of votes in the Republican primary for Montgomery County Precinct 3 commissioner, defeating incumbent James Noack with all 113 county precincts reporting election day results.

Wheeler received 9,120 votes, or 50.79% of the vote, while Noack received 8,838 votes, or 49.21% of the vote. All results are unofficial until canvassed.

No Democrats filed in the primary race for Precinct 3 commissioner, meaning the Republican candidate will be unopposed in November.

Wheeler was formerly mayor of the city of Shenandoah, and Noack was first elected in 2012.

With 23 out of 113 voting precincts reporting, Wheeler currently holds a lead in the race for Precinct 3 commissioner with 6,152 votes. Incumbent Noack has 5,638 votes as of press time.

Early voting results for the March 5 election have been released, showing a lead by Ritch Wheeler against incumbent James Noack for Montgomery County Precinct 3 commissioner.

What you need to know


Unofficial early voting results were released showing challenger Wheeler with 5,363 votes, or 53.14% of the vote, and incumbent Noack with 4,729, or 46.86% of the vote.

Election day results will be available throughout the evening as polling locations close and counts are completed.
