Will all election precincts reporting, Shelley Sekula-Gibbs, Ann Snyder and Cindy Heiser all secured seats on The Woodlands Township board of directors.

Sekula-Gibbs pulled ahead of Tricia Danto with 51.38% of the vote. Snyder received a decisive win over Tom Chumbley with 83.77% of the vote. In the three-way race to fill position 7 on the board, Heiser gained 53.5% of the vote over Tom Chumbley and Ann Perry.

All elections results are unofficial until canvassed.

With 51 out of 57 Montgomery County precincts and 296 out of 701 Harris County voting centers reporting, two incumbents were poised to hold onto their seats on The Woodlands Township board of directors Nov. 7. A new member will join the board following the departure of Bob Milner, who did not run for re-election.

In the race for Position 5, incumbent Shelley Sekula-Gibbs received 8,041, or 51.13% of the vote, and Tricia Danto received 7,686, or 48.87% of the vote.

In the race for Position 6, incumbent Ann Snyder received 12,671, or 84.24% of the vote. Tom Chumbley received 2,370, or 15.76% of votes cast.

In the race for Position 7, Cindy Heiser received 8,322, or 53.92% of the vote; Tom Chumbley received 1,040, or 6.74%; and Ann Perry received 6,072, or 39.34%.




"I'm honored and humbled by the support from The Woodlands and look forward to serving and another term," Snyder said.

These results are unofficial until canvassed, and numbers may change slightly as additional votes are counted.

With early voting results from Harris County released, early voting totals have been updated to reflect the results of Harris and Montgomery counties combined.




In the race for Position 5, incumbent Shelley Sekula-Gibbs received 4,628, or 51% of the vote, and Tricia Danto received 4,477, or 49% of the vote.

In the race for Position 6, Ann Snyder—the incumbent—received 7,211, or 84.52% of the vote. Tom Chumbley received 1,321, or 15.48%.

In the race for Position 7, Cindy Heiser received 4,932, or 54.99% of the vote; Tom Chumbley received 555, or 6.19%; and Ann Perry received 3,482, or 38.82%.

After Montgomery County polls closed at 7 p.m. on Nov. 7, incumbent Shelley Sekula-Gibbs and Tricia Danto are both within a fraction of 50% of the vote for The Woodlands Township board of directors Position 5. Meanwhile, Ann Snyder and Cindy Heiser are in the lead for their respective races for Positions 6 and 7 based on unofficial Montgomery County early voting results.

The details

In the race for Position 5, Sekula-Gibbs received 4,097, or 50.05% of the vote, and Danto received 4,083, or 49.95% of the vote.

In the race for Position 6, Snyder—the incumbent—received 6,727, or 85.22% of the vote. Tom Chumbley received 1,167, or 14.78%.




In the race for Position 7, Heiser received 4,528, or 55.94% of the vote; Tom Chumbley received 484, or 5.98%; and Ann Perry received 3,083, or 38.09%.

The incumbent for Position 7, Bob Milner, did not run for re-election.

Two individuals named Tom Chumbley are running for election in two separate races in The Woodlands Township.
