Three City Council seats are up for election on May 6 in the city of Shenandoah, but only one contest will go before voters, according to information from the city.

Position 2, currently held by Ted Fletcher, will see Fletcher facing challenger David Teague.

Position 3, currently held by Jim Pollard, and Position 4, held by Charlie Bradt, were uncontested.

The deadline for filing was Feb. 17.

The last day for a candidate to withdraw is Feb. 25.


The last day to register to vote will be April 6, and election day is May 6, with early voting occurring from April 24-May 2.
