The Woodlands Christian Academy will be celebrating its 30th year anniversary through 2024. On Aug. 9, the academy kick-started the celebration with the start of the 2023-24 school year.

“We’ve been abundantly blessed over these three decades with generous families, fantastic teachers and talented students who are truly flourishing spiritually, intellectually, creatively, physically and socially," said Julie Ambler, head of school for The Woodlands Christian Academy. "As we enter our fourth decade, we look forward to expanding our campus and programs to continue equipping our students to make a positive impact in this world for Jesus Christ.”

The Woodlands Christian Academy is a private, Christian college preparatory school serving pre-K to 12th grade. Stephanie Olson, director of communications, said the campus will be celebrating its milestone with events throughout the year.

"We will have events ranging from Homecoming Sept. 29, to our annual gala celebration May 4, to name a few," she said. "Also, our pre-K through 12th grade faculty and staff are finding fun and creative ways to honor this special year in their classrooms, as well as at school dances, retreats and athletic games. It’s truly a year to honor our legacy and tremendous growth over the past three decades."

Olson said the academy welcomed its first small cohort of students in the fall of 1993. This year, she said, there are 803 students enrolled in the school, which is the largest student body in school history. The Woodlands Christian Academy also has plans to start building a fine arts center and outdoor amphitheater this year.
