Mike Sullivan, LSCS board of trustees member, provided a redistricting update during a May 5 board meeting and said there has been little community input during forums. As such, the second round of community forums on May 11 have been canceled.
"The community can still participate electronically," Sullivan said. "They can submit their comments or questions online. ... They can also reach out to any trustee."
Sullivan said there has been one public comment so far.
Upcoming redistricting meetings will be held June 8 for the final public hearing, June 16 for a redistricting committee meeting and adoption on June 29. Community members can visit www.lonestar.edu/redistricting to submit questions and comments electronically.
