"Due to expected weather conditions, many after school events have been rescheduled or postponed. Please check with your child's campus for more information," the district said in a social media statement.
On Twitter, The Woodlands High School announced that only its varsity boys and girls basketball teams would be playing their scheduled games at Klein Forest and The Woodlands high schools, respectively. All other games were cancelled.
CISD also announced Knox Junior High School would be closed for classes and on-campus events Jan. 10, after the school closed due to a loss of power Jan. 9. Knox is expected to reopen Monday, Jan. 13, according to its social media page.
Knox JH will be closed on Fri., Jan.10, 2020. Campus events during the school day on Friday have also been cancelled. Knox Junior High is scheduled to re-open and resume classes on Mon., Jan. 13, 2020. Confirmation will be sent via our mass notification system on Sunday evening.
