1. Important dates
Meet the teacher: This varies by campus. Click here to view a list of schools, and select your student’s campus to view meet-the-teacher dates and hours.
Board meeting and budget public hearing: The board of trustees will vote to adopt the 2017-18 budget Aug. 15. Public feedback on the presented budget is welcomed during a public hearing at 6 p.m. at 3205 W. Davis St., Conroe.
First day of school: School starts Aug. 16 this year. The earlier start date is due to CISD adopting a District of Innovation plan in late 2016.
Labor Day: Students and teachers will have Monday, Sept. 4 off in observance of Labor Day.
2. School supplies
Tax free weekend is Aug. 11-13. Find out what CISD students are encouraged to have for a successful first day back to school here.
3. Registration
If a student still needs to be registered in CISD, the following items are required:
- Proof of residency (lease agreement or current utility bill for gas, water or electricity in parent or guardian’s name with address)
- Student’s birth certificate or other legal proof of identity
- Student’s social security card
- Immunization record
- Parent or guardian’s identification document
- Military ID or foster care paper work, if applicable.
